How it works
01
It reads your ledger
Connect Xero read-only, or upload a CSV. It works out who owes what, since when, and which accounts have stopped moving on their own.
02
You set the limits
How often it may write, between which hours, what it may never offer, and which customers it must not approach. It does not go past that line.
03
It does the chasing
Follow-ups under your own name and domain. It reads the replies: commitments, questions, disputes, wrong contacts.
04
It stops when it should
A payment lands, a dispute opens, something falls outside your mandate — it stops and brings it to you with the evidence.

You decide how much it does on its own
With your approval
I analyse, prioritise and draft everything. You approve each message before it goes out — one by one, or a batch at a time.
I draft a reminder for Kestrel Civil, you read it, you send it.
Autopilot within your rules
I send routine follow-ups and handle the replies myself, inside the limits you set. Anything unusual still comes to you.
I chase Kestrel Civil and log their reply. If they dispute the invoice, I stop and bring it to you.
You pick before it contacts anyone, and you can change it or pause at any time. Neither option lets it exceed the limits you set.
When a debt will not move
Ask it to prepare a legal handoff pack and it stops chasing that customer, gathers the invoices, payments, messages and delivery evidence it actually holds, and gives you a file to send to your own lawyer.
It does not write the debt off, does not record a payment, and does not send anything to a lawyer on your behalf. What it could not find is listed as missing rather than filled in.
Questions people actually ask
- Do my customers know it is software?
- Emails go out under your business name on your own domain. Duewick does not appear as a debt collector, and we take no commission on what is recovered.
- What if someone says they already paid?
- It checks your ledger before treating anything as settled. A zero balance is not proof of payment — a credit note also clears one — so it separates cash from adjustments and tells you which it found.
- Can it make a mistake and annoy a customer?
- It can only send what your mandate allows, and it never jokes with a customer of yours. You choose whether every message needs your approval first.
- What happens to a debt it cannot collect?
- You can ask it to prepare a legal handoff pack for your own lawyer. That pauses the chasing and gathers the evidence. It does not write the debt off, record a payment, or send anything to anyone.
- Do I have to talk to a salesperson?
- No. Try it on a sample ledger, bring your own invoices, and start the trial without speaking to anyone. If you want a person, ask in the conversation.
Duewick does not contact any of your customers until you have connected a ledger, agreed what it may do, and switched it on. Nothing on this page is a promise of recovery or a timeframe.
